Hello,
I am a RIBA/ARB chartered architect with over 25 years of experience working in the UK, Italy and Japan for others and myself. I have worked on over fifty residential projects in Cornwall of varied types and scale.
I am originally from Kyoto, Japan and lived many years in Italy, two beautiful countries where I soaked up unique cultures and diverse senses of aesthetics. After living and working in Cardiff, Cambridge and Manchester for over 14 years, I moved to the South-West of England attracted by the beautiful Cornish landscapes and architecture. In my free time, I like to walk, swim, and do a little sailing.
I trained as an architect in Italy and the UK, with an additional specialisation in Landscape. I cover a large spectrum of design, from Residential to Commercial, Heritage, Cultural Buildings and Planning. I have also worked for a French organisation advising municipalities in Asia and Africa on urban planning.
I believe design is a collaborative process. Its aim should be to improve the quality of life and the environment and produce the best response to the client’s brief and the place. I bring my varied experience to a project, looking at the brief from various angles, and trying to give the client the best advice for its specific situation.
I am looking forward to speaking to you about a possible project together.
